A new good listen book review! High Achiever by Tiffany Jenkins – I listened to this book on Audible.

Here’s my review and thoughts on if I recommend it…

High Achiever – the amazing true story of one addicts double life. Written by Tiffany Jenkins.

Audible reader:

The author reads this book, which I really love. It’s her life story so hearing her tell it makes it even much more intimate and special. typically times authors don’t read their own books, even when it’s a memoir – I think in large part because it’s a very difficult.

It’s harder than it would seem to read an entire book out-loud and stay clear, energetic and engaging.

Note: I was made to do 1 of 3 things and it’s a shame they’re not my job…

Children’s TV show character – I’m very enthusiastic and have very ‘big’ hand gestures. It’s outrageous for real life, but ideal for a kid’s show.

Audio book reader (is it narrator?) – I can read & delight in reading out-loud, project my voice like I have an audience and am trying to make sure the people in the back hear me (even when I’m alone), I have a lot of energy, I can take direction…

*The 3rd thing is secret – for now at least.

Anyway.

The narrator did a terrific job.

Povahy:

The only character you really get to know is Tiffany, which is fair because this is her story. but her main relationships are with her sweetheart and her father but you don’t really get to know them. I’m certainly curious about how her sweetheart everything or her ex-boyfriend and her relationship with her sister.

Príbeh:

I’m curious about how, why and when she first started doing drugs. She starts the story in jail and talks to a therapist a lot too, but we never get how it really all got started to result in her addiction.

She starts the story already in jail and tells us about different situations and memories that led her there. but I wanted to go back further.

I want to know alright why didn’t rehab work the first time? Why did you even need to go to rehab? how did you start to emails how did it go from recreational to an addiction like.

Seems like she is narrating the story to a therapist and then it flashes two interaction in her life finding the pill shooting up drugs for the first time owing a drug dealer.. So it would make a really good film but you would still want to know how did this person find themselves in this place. The cocoa beach rehab can help overcoming the addiction.

It’s well written and interesting. I’m sure she had a lot of stories from jail and from hanging out with drug dealers, but can only tell a handful of them. I think she has a good mix of random and critical events.

Overall:

Yes, I recommend it.

It’s interesting and an easy read (or listen if you use Audible). I listened to it in a few days and wanted much more stories from when she was addicted and in jail – so I think wanting much more of a book is a good sign!

Yesterday we had a little bit of a Thanksgiving stop working when the turkey wasn’t cooked all the method for dinner. It was a significant turkey as well as most likely a little frozen inside as well as so when we went to cut it we checked the temperature as well as realized it wasn’t close to being done! Ha!

But all was not lost because we had tons of delicious side dishes as well as 4 different kinds of pies. I seriously had 6 pieces of pie yesterday.

This morning I woke up as well as hit the sidewalk (with my feet) to stack on some miles as penance for the most pie ever (plus ice cream).

It was a little chilly (for me) however gorgeous out!!

On the method back I spotted a lovely egret. I stopped to take a photo as well as believed he’d fly away, however he didn’t. Then, he grabbed a lizard for breakfast!! Ha! He was hunting as well as so I got a few excellent pictures.

As in I haven’t posted for over 2 weeks. That’s like 14 months in Sasha Media land! 

Ďakujem! I really appreciate everyone who follows me. I feel like we are friends. It does make me feel good that you follow and like and comment. Seriously – it probably shouldn’t but it does.

I extra appreciate it because no one comments on blogs anymore so commenting on my IG or Facebook is the way we stay in touch! 

I don’t want to make it a big deal because I don’t think it is one. But… I also want to address because it’s not a big deal. I don’t feel like I ought to apologize. We didn’t have plans that I flaked out on. 

This is my job. social media is a huge part of being able to keep RunEatRepeat.com and the podcast going! If I can’t promote it and share it – I can’t keep it up. 

But it’s also alright to log off when you need a break. You don’t owe people anything – except your mom. Be good to her.

Is it sad I hid my favorite See’s candy to enjoy after lunch? Pleasesaynopleasesayno.

Ben wanted a bite, but not even a big man with a bat could part me from my favorite candy.

Kidding. We had the bat because Ben is trying to make a pinata for his nephew’s birthday tomorrow.

Since I’m the token Mexican I was asked to try it out to see if it was legit.

My attempt to break it was pathetic, but that’s because:

– Ben turned me around a bunch before the camera was rolling

– I knew he filled the box with rocks and balls – NOT candy. and I thought it was going to fall on me.

Christmas dinner was pretty amazing because it included a big sweet potato…

And, I was in charge of cutting and passing out the cake.

I cut everyone a piece…

and saved the rest for myself. Isn’t there a rule that the cake cutter gets to pick the biggest piece? Well, that’s the rule I go by.

After dinner we went to Jon’s (Ben’s brother) place to hang out. They had a bon fire and played beer pong because it’s Christmas. Actually, this is just what they do every night.

I suggested we play wine pong because Jesus was a bigger fan of wine than beer, but was vetoed. I don’t know what’s going on here, but the night got a lot rowdier than I expected. Let’s leave it at that

Actually, I was going to skip this entire portion of the evening to continue the façade that I’m a classy lady, but Jon made the biggest deal about me taking a picture of my girly Mojito to put on the blog. So here it is:

This morning I was woken up by Ben who was a little confused about the day/time/location and I decided to GTFO and run. I ran to the beach and Ben offered to meet me there for a post-run walk. The water is cold.

I ran 4.5 miles fast (for me) – 2 of them were 7:58ish! thank you flat Florida!!! But, I was sweating like it was July in California

We stopped at Dunkin Donuts on the way home That almost makes up for the super humid, sweaty run. Almost.

Okay, I think plans for the day include grocery shopping with Ben’s mom – we both love it a little too much and a movie.

Dentists and personal fitness instructors

happy Thursday! My legs are feeling a bit tired so I made a decision to switch today’s run for tomorrow. I just dropped my automobile off to get the brakes done and walked home from there. I’ll walk back to get my automobile later, so about 4.5 miles of walking is my workout today and maybe a bit strength this evening.

I almost had eggs for dinner last night because I’ve been craving them so much! But, pizza won yesterday so I made a scramble for breakfast. half a bagel because I ate the other half for a snack yesterday and the super thick end piece of toast. It was a bready morning.

When I got back from the automobile dealer I had finished off the blueberries and had more iced coffee.  Snack of champions (when paired with some almonds).

Yesterday afternoon I had a dentist appointment. My dentist is really good and I like everyone there. But, I still dislike the dentist. I almost feel guilty because my dentist is so cool! Yet, the dread of those sees remains.

While I was there trying not to be mean to they guy stabbing me in the mouth, I wondered if my clients at the fitness center dislike pertaining to see me in the same way? maybe they think I’m not so bad, but wouldn’t mind pushing me off a cliff??

Je to obal! I mean Wrapper!

I kinda cheated on my No eating After dinner rule since I organized dinner to be extremely snacky. So, it ended up feeling like I was eating after dinner! But, I can only show you wrappers since my camera totally ate all the photos I took today. Boo ? I truly requirement a new camera, however I won’t be saved up for two more months…

Dinner was a meal of many parts, very first up: Luna Bar. I hadn’t had this flavor in the longest time so it was like it was new once again ?

Then, I roasted up some brussel sprouts. I can’t assist however eat the whole pan every time I roast them, so I only made half the bag tonight.

And the grand finale was popcorn. I have been seeing popcorn on TV, other blogs, in my head as well as truly have been craving it. I likewise have a issue eating a whole bag of popcorn so I stopped the popping before it was done.  even if I don’t want to eat the whole bag, I want to feel like I ate the whole bag. I understand it seems messed up, however that’s what it is.

Rewind to lunch… I heated up some boxed soup for lunch. On the side I had a wrap with LC as well as carrots with hummus. I didn’t photo the hummus since I was scraping the container on this one. Wait, I can’t show you the pics of anything except the soup box since of my cam troubles ?

and some Nutty Bits.

Then, I hit up Costco since the cherries I was eyeing yesterday lastly broke me. I am no match for their Siren’s song. I ate a great deal a great deal on the drive home. This is a data pic since I don’t want to dig the pits out of the trash…

I likewise hit up a store to bring house an old good friend – more on that tomorrow ?See you in the morning!
